william herbert third earl of pembroke

William Herbert, 3rd Earl of Pembroke. The Shakespeare First Folio was dedicated to William and his brother, Philip. William may also be the "Mr. W.H." referred to in the dedication to Shake-speare's Sonnets. Louis Ule believes evidence shows that Marlowe lived at Wilton House for a time after his "death" in 1593 under the name Hugh Sanford, and while there he was the tutor to both William and Philip.
